The collection is primarily comprised of trade catalogs, product literature, and publications documenting Herman Miller, Inc. furniture, its designers, and the company's history. There are seven series and a 2006 addendum: Company History series, 1975-1994; Product Literature series, 1946-2994; Publications series, 1936-2005; Designers series, 1955-2004; Presentations series, 1984-1990; Advertising series, 1936-2004; Miscellaneous series, 1961-2004 and a 2006 Addendum, 1978-2006.
